Copy a Reel link
Open the Reel in the Instagram app. Tap the share icon, then tap Copy link. Paste the whole URL above. The address should contain instagram.com/reel/ or instagram.com/reels/ and a short code.
On a computer, open the Reel and copy the address bar. If the copied text puts the link in the middle of a sentence, keep only the https:// portion.
Two Reel URL shapes
Instagram shares Reels with either /reel/ or /reels/. Both are the same kind of post for this tool. Extra characters after a question mark, often starting with igsh, are tracking details. You can leave them in the paste box.
A link that starts with instagram.com/share/ is a preview. Open it in Instagram, then copy the Reel link from the Reel itself. Feed videos use a different path and are covered in the Instagram Video Downloader. You can also paste a Reel on the homepage.
Reels this tool will not save
Close-friends Reels, trial Reels that are not public, archived Reels, and story frames are outside the scope of ReelFetch. A username, even the username that posted the Reel, is not a download link.
Picture, sound, and reuse
Reels are vertical videos. When a file is available, the audio stays inside the video. ReelFetch does not extract the music as its own file, and it does not promise that licensed audio can be reused. Save a Reel only when you have the right to keep a copy. Read the copyright and responsible use page before you republish someone else's work. The privacy policy describes what happens to the link you paste.

What is the difference between /reel/ and /reels/?
Both are Reel URLs. Instagram has used each form in shared links. ReelFetch accepts both when the short code is present.
How do I copy a Reel link on a phone?
Open the Reel, tap the share icon, then tap Copy link. Paste the full URL into ReelFetch. A username on its own is not enough.
Can I download only the audio from a Reel?
No. ReelFetch is a video downloader. It does not split music out of a Reel.
Why does the Reel open in the app but fail here?
The text you copied may be a share preview, a profile URL, or a story. Paste the address that contains instagram.com/reel/ or instagram.com/reels/ plus the short code.
Can I download a close-friends or trial Reel?
No. If the Reel is not publicly accessible, ReelFetch cannot retrieve it.
